Carl was a quiet unassuming person but what a big impact he had in our lives. When my father died and Mam and Jacky were on their own, he moved in so that they felt safe. When Jacky and Carl married he took Mam to live with him, when they moved to Pembroke Mam went too. Not many young men would do that but as long as Jacky was happy then so was he. We watched Carl grow from a stroppy teenager to a loving husband and proud father of Bethan and Ieuan. We were privileged to have known Carl he was a true and trusted friend and we will miss him dearly. June and Pete
