I met Carl at primary school, we lived in adjoining streets, our mams had been schoolfriends too, in those days us kids would play out, backlanes first, then the park, the river, tips, mountains, anywhere we shouldn’t have and of course the village pool and flea pit. We had the best of times, red sauce butties and squash always a treat. We saw less of each other when we left Coedybrain. Always catching up via Aunty Do when l was in the village or on the bus, When planning to move to Pembroke Dock 2 years ago, was such a surprise to find out Carl and Jacky had lived less than a mile from our new home. Our Facebook community is almost as good as the real thing, Carl has worked with my stepson for a number of years, it’s so sad to hear he’s lost his fight, sleep peacefully now and watch over your loved ones, fond memories of fun times are with us always.
